    This policy outlines the processes, responsibilities, and key considerations for the delivery of Industrial Ovens, Machinery, and Related Components purchased from Swati Engineering.


    1. General Shipping Information

    • Carrier Selection: Due to the size, weight, and value of our products, all equipment is shipped via specialised Less-than-Truckload (LTL) or Full Truckload (FTL) Freight Carriers. Standard parcel services (e.g., FedEx, UPS) are typically not used for major equipment.
    • Shipping Quotes: Shipping costs are calculated based on the equipment dimensions, weight, destination, and any special services required (e.g., lift-gate, limited access delivery). Your final shipping cost will be detailed on your official quote or invoice.
    • Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery location can accommodate large freight vehicles and has the necessary equipment (e.g., forklift, loading dock) for offloading heavy machinery, unless specific delivery services are pre-arranged.

    2. Lead Times and Delivery Estimates

    A. Processing Time

    • In-Stock Items: Orders for in-stock ovens or accessories are typically processed and prepared for shipment within 5-6 business days after payment confirmation.
    • Custom/Built-to-Order: For custom-built ovens, the estimated fabrication time will be specified on your sales quote (e.g., 8-12 weeks). The shipping process begins immediately upon completion of manufacturing and final testing.

    B. Transit Time

    • Transit times vary based on the destination and freight carrier schedules, typically ranging from 5-6 business days for domestic shipments.
    • Guarantees: Transit estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed by Swati Engineering. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, or unforeseen logistical issues.

    3. The Freight Delivery Process

    A. Delivery Coordination

    • The freight carrier will contact the contact person listed on your order 6 days prior to the estimated delivery to schedule a specific delivery window.
    • Failure to coordinate: If the customer is unavailable to receive the shipment during the scheduled window, the carrier may impose detention or re-delivery fees, which will be the sole responsibility of the customer.

    B. Critical Inspection Protocol (Required)

    This step is mandatory to protect your investment and initiate claims for potential freight damage.

    1. Inspect Exterior: Before the driver leaves and before signing the Bill of Lading (BOL), thoroughly inspect the exterior crating/packaging for any signs of damage (crushes, holes, tears, tipping indicators triggered).
    2. Document Damage: If any damage is visible, the details MUST BE CLEARLY NOTED on the driver’s BOL. Take detailed photographs of the damage while the driver is present.
    3. Sign and Retain: Sign the BOL and keep a copy for your records. If you sign the BOL without noting damage, you are officially accepting the shipment in good condition, and damage claims may be denied by the carrier and insurer.
    4. Concealed Damage: If damage is discovered after the driver leaves (concealed damage), contact us immediately within 24 hours of delivery. Claims for concealed damage are significantly harder to process and may not be successful.

    4. Shipping Costs and Methods

    • F.O.B. Origin: Unless explicitly stated otherwise in your quote, all shipments are considered F.O.B. (Free On Board) Origin (our facility). This means that ownership and the risk of loss or damage transfer to the customer once the shipment is loaded onto the carrier’s truck.
    • Insurance: Swati Engineering includes basic transit insurance. We recommend that the customer purchase additional third-party freight insurance for high-value machinery to cover the full replacement cost.
    • Accessorial Fees: Services requested at the time of delivery (e.g., lift-gate service, inside delivery, residential delivery) that were not included in the original quote may incur additional charges billed directly to the customer.
